Time and productivity are very important in life. Like all successful people, to achieve high levels of productivity you must regain control of your time. Successful people do not try to find time to do things they want, but instead, identify what they want and make it a top priority. Taking control of your time is a lot harder than it sounds. In most cases, we believe we are in control, but in the actual sense we are not.

Have a rest
When you are trying to save time, the most important thing to do is to have a rest. Healthy sleep and relaxation give you more productivity with the ability to solve more complex tasks faster even with less effort. Try to go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Go to bed early and wake up early. Try to dedicate at least six hours of your time for quality sleep.
If you want to regain control of your valuable time and life, then you have to know what you want to do with it. There might be a conflict between your professional and personal life and it becomes hard to make a decision on how to control your time. If you find that it is harder to meet big goals, set small ones instead.
Once you have set your goals, you will need to prioritize them. No one can do everything at once, neither can anyone do everything by themselves. Do not let distractions and other things consume your time. If you are a busy parent with a very hectic schedule, you might consider delegating some chores to your children or house help to assist you to manage your time better. Do not be afraid to say no. If someone tries to put you in a situation that compromises your time, you need to learn to say no.
Multitasking is all about setting the right priorities. You need to set what needs to be done today, and what can wait. Only do those things which are difficult or not easy for you to postpone. You need to stop doing so many things at once. Multi-tasking takes you away from experiencing the present moment and flushes your attention to many unnecessary things. You also need to exercise. You need to make time for your mental and physical strength.
